Every photographer has those secret spots — the viewpoint only locals know, the hidden trail with an unobstructed mountain view. Custom Spots lets you save these locations privately and get the same weather monitoring as curated spots.
How it works:
- Switch to Custom mode on the Explore map
- Drop a pin at your exact location (uses GPS for precise placement)
- Name it, pick a category, add notes (e.g. "best angle is from the left rock")
- Your spot appears on your dashboard with full weather forecast and alerts
Custom Spots are completely private — only you can see them. If you later upload a photo to a Custom Spot, both the photo and the spot enter admin review. Once approved, the spot becomes visible to the community, giving you credit as the discoverer.
